Police have arrested four people after a pursuit in Sydney’s south-west this afternoon, NSW Police say.
Earlier today (Tuesday 25 September 2018), police located a Volkswagen Polo GTI in Hurlstone Park that was believed to be stolen.
About 1.45pm a pursuit was initiated on the M5 Motorway.
The pursuit was terminated a short time later.
With assistance from POLAIR, the vehicle was tracked to a house on Harcourt Avenue, East Hills.
With assistance from the Dog Squad and Public Order Riot Squad, three males and a female were arrested at the location.
They are believed to be linked to a string of robberies in Zetland, Waterloo and Stanmore, and a stabbing in Leichardt, all which have occurred over the past week.
One of the males, aged 17, was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition after falling down some stairs during the operation.
The remaining three have been taken to Bankstown Police Station where they are assisting with inquiries.
A crime scene has been established at the home in East Hills by Redfern Detectives, as police recover suspected proceeds of the robberies.
Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
