My Other Closet Cabaret is coming to Geelong

The one-man show features Russell Vickery, who developed the performance piece with partner Matthew Parsons, Manager of LGBTIQ Intimate Partner and Family Violence at Rainbow Health Victoria, to highlight the little-known reality of violence in same sex and gender diverse (LGBT) relationships.

One-part entertainment, one-part education and awareness campaign, this production gives powerful and moving insight into the causes of domestic violence, how to seek help, and how to put it to an end.

After sell-out seasons in Sydney and Melbourne, My Other Closet is coming to Platform Arts, 60 Lt Malop St Geelong, on Friday 7 February and Saturday 8 February 2020.

The performances coincide with Geelong Rainbow Festival 2020, which runs from Tuesday 4 February through to Sunday 9 February 2020.

Run by Geelong Rainbow Inc this year's festival includes the installation of a Rainbow Crossing in Lt Malop St, which aims to honour our local LGBTQIA+ community as well as a family-friendly Fair Day and Pride March at Johnstone Park.
