From 19 May, workers, employers and treatment providers will see a new rehab and return‑to‑work plan called the My Recovery Plan.
The plan brings key recovery information together in one place and supports a safe and timely return to work.
What's changed
The My Recovery Plan replaces the Rehabilitation and Return to Work (RRTW) plan.
The new plan:
- is shorter and easier to read
- shows clear next steps
- includes return-to-work and lifestyle goals, where relevant
- keeps workers, employers and treatment providers aligned.
Worker entitlements and the overall claims process stay the same. The update makes the plan clearer and easier to use.
How the plan works
When a claim is accepted, WorkCover develops the My Recovery Plan with input from the worker, their employer, and their treatment providers.
WorkCover then shares the plan so everyone can review it and give feedback. WorkCover updates the plan as recovery, treatment or work capacity changes.
Workers, employers and treatment providers don't need to fill in the plan themselves. WorkCover manages the plan and makes updates where needed and based on feedback.
