MyFiziq Granted US Patent Protection

Perth, Australia (26th April 2018): Body contour and anthropometric tracking technology company MyFiziq Limited (ASX:MYQ) ("MyFiziq" or "Company") is pleased to announce the positive outcome in regard to examination of the US national phase of its International Patent Application for its technology for Imaging a Body. The US national phase application has proceeded to grant as US Patent No. 9,949,697 issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) on 24 April 2018.

MyFiziq has sought to protect its ability to use a mobile digital device to capture a user-specific input to further create and deliver dimensions with an output specific to the user by way of an image or images. In the implementation of the MyFiziq technology, the output may provide the user with specific dimensions for the mapping/tracking/sizing of the individual’s anatomical change.

Patent protection is a very important step in securing our position in the global marketplace. Being able to defend our IP is paramount to the evolution of our product and the value we intend to create for our shareholders. Having the ability to protect the rights to create specific dimensions for the mapping/tracking/sizing of anatomical change via a digital device, which in turn delivers the user’s dimensions, will be a unique way to not only block potential competitors but also give MyFiziq a dominant position as a market leader.

This year we will continue to accelerate all patents in other regions, increasing our protection and giving MyFiziq a strong hold globally with our unique technology."

"We are pleased to report that the US Patent has now been granted. The USPTO is well known and respected for the rigour to which it subjects patent applications to examination during the patenting process. This is a very positive step forward for MyFiziq as Examining Officers for corresponding applications in other jurisdictions will take into account the favourable finding in the US, when conducting their own assessment as to the patentability of the technology."
