Police can now release the name of the man who died following a crash on State Highway 2 near Opotiki on Saturday 9 March.
He was 55-year-old Carl Wayne Holmberg of Riverdale, Gisborne.
Police extend their sympathies to Mr Holmberg's family and friends.
