National Capital under spotlight

On Thursday the Joint Standing Committee on the National Capital and External Territories will be briefed by the National Capital Authority about current issues relating to the nation's capital.

The briefing will be broadcast live on the Parliament House website.

Committee Chair, Senator Dr Sam McMahon, said: "The Committee welcomes the opportunity to discuss a range of matters with the National Capital Authority including some of the current works being undertaken across Canberra."

"Since 2009, the National Capital Authority has been invited to conduct these briefings biannually as an opportunity for the Committee to become more familiar with issues affecting the Capital and latest developments."
