The 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships has officially kicked off on the Gold Coast bringing together the nation's top futsal talent for Australia's premier futsal tournament.
Hosted by Football Queensland, in partnership with Experience Gold Coast, the tournament is the largest event on the national futsal calendar, and will run from 13-17 January 2026.
With players representing their state or territory, the event will host age categories from U12 - U16 Boys, U13, U15 and U17 Girls, Youth Men and Open Men, Youth Women and Open Women, and Open Atheletes with Disabilities Mixed.

Football Queensland CEO Robert Cavallucci said the Championships would once again deliver five days of high-quality futsal action.
"We're delighted to welcome players, coaches, officials and families from across Australia to the beautiful Gold Coast this week for the 2026 Mitre National Futsal Championships," FQ CEO Robert Cavallucci said.
"The tournament will showcase the skills of the most talented futsal players from each state across five action-packed days as Member Federation sides vie for national honours.
"I'd like to thank Experience Gold Coast for their support in bringing the tournament back to our state for the next three years as we work together to establish the Mitre National Futsal Championships as an unmissable event for locals and visitors.
"Best of luck also to all players, coaches and officials participating in this year's tournament; we look forward to seeing you in action throughout the week."
Gold Coast Mayor, Tom Tate also welcomed the competition, its players and supporters to Gold Coast.
"Hosting the National Futsal Championships is a huge coup for our city,'' said Tate.
"The five-day program has attracted the best players from each state and territory. I applaud Football Queensland and all affiliate clubs for committing to the Gold Coast for the next three years.''
