Mayor of Tweed Shire Chris Cherry said Council was proud to support events that strengthen the local community and enhance the Tweed's reputation as a great place to live and visit.
"We welcome applications from organisers who are passionate about creating events that are the right fit for The Tweed and leave a positive impact," Cr Cherry said.
In the 2024-2025 round of funding 19 events secured a total of $99,764 with support provided across a variety of community, sporting, and arts and culture events.
Funding is available for events that bring the Tweed Events Strategy 2024-2028 to life – supporting the growth and delivery of festivals and events that celebrate our natural, creative and culinary strengths, align with our community values, and showcase the unique experiences that make The Tweed so special.

Applicants can apply online through Tweed Shire Council's website at tweed.nsw.gov.au/event-sponsorship
The deadline for submissions is midnight on Friday 30 May 2025.
Before applying, applicants should review the eligibility and assessment criteria carefully. Applications must be submitted by an incorporated organisation or be supported by a sponsor that is accepting legal and financial responsibility for the event.
