However Listcorp's motivation for launching the new service isn't purely convenience-driven:

While this can be valuable, unfortunately it has created an industry of unregulated and unscrupulous information providers - the chat sites and investment forums full of 'fake news' - whose information is often indistinguishable from the truth. We think it's hugely important investors have a service they can trust for access to fact-based research from reputable, talented and regulated providers" Daly said.
With this week shining a light on the darker side of the financial services industry following the release of the final report from the Royal Commission, Daly believes it is important to highlight the hugely valuable work being carried out in certain parts of the industry:
"We're doing two things here. Firstly, our marketplace is about highlighting the excellent research produced in Australia for Australian investors. And secondly, we're helping investors discover new sources of information. Without our marketplace, most investors simply wouldn't know this research or these analysts exist, so the industry is coming together on this initiative to showcase the enormously valuable work they do to help local investors make better investment decisions." explained Daly.
