Never mess with a Quarter Horse named Sally

A 48-year-old Ravenswood man has been charged and a Quarter Horse named Sally reunited with her owners after she was taken from her home earlier this month.

On January 15, a man entered a property and gained access to Sally’s yard, taking her from the stable. The offender then allegedly took her to a nearby address and attempted to ride her around the property.

Investigators from the Major and Organised Crime Squad (Rural) Charters Towers were provided footage of the offence by a member of the public. The footage also showed Sally protesting the situation by stomping on the foot of the alleged offender who was only wearing thongs at the time.

Information from the public led investigators to a Ravenswood address, where a 48-year-old man was charged on January 22 with trespass and unlawfully using stock.

Sally has been reunited with her owners.

Officers from MOCS Rural would like to thank the public for their assistance in solving this case.
