New Acting Director Community Wellbeing appointed

The following statement is attributable to City of Ballarat CEO Janet Dore -

The City of Ballarat has appointed Pete Appleton as the Acting Director Community Wellbeing.

The role was advertised internally as part of an Expression of Interest process.

Mr Appleton has been appointed on a temporary basis until an ongoing appointment is made.

Mr Appleton will commence in this role on Monday 24 August.

I would like to thank Acting Director Neville Ivey for his professionalism and leadership in the interim. Mr Ivey will remain with the organisation until 4 September.

Recruitment for the new roles as part of the organisational structure realignment - Director Corporate Services, Director Infrastructure and Environment, Director Community Wellbeing, Director Development and Growth and Executive Manager People and Culture began on Saturday 8 August.

The recruitment process will be transparent and conducted by an independent and reputable recruitment company.

I will provide further announcements once these appointments have been finalised.
