There are now even more spaces to enjoy a good old Aussie barbeque thanks to Rockhampton Regional Council's BBQ Renewal Program.

Parks Chair, Councillor Cherie Rutherford, said that 15 new BBQs had been installed over the last few months.

"Living in Central Queensland, we get to experience over 300 days of wonderful sunshine every year.

"What better way to enjoy it than with a few snags and cold drinks in one of our beautiful parks?

"Over the past few months our team has been busy installing new BBQs across Rockhampton to ensure that you have even more choices for your lunch in the sun.

"We have put two in Queens Park in Park Avenue, two in Curtis Park, and seven in Victoria Park by the river.

"The Botanic Gardens will now also be an even better spot, with four new BBQs ready to use.

"This takes the total number of BBQs we have installed across the region to 54, including the those we installed ahead of Kershaw Gardens reopening last year.
