New Casino Netball Clubhouse Officially Opened

NSW Nationals

Federal Nationals Deputy Leader and Member for Page, Kevin Hogan, and State Member for Clarence, Richie Williamson, have joined Richmond Valley Council and the local community to officially open the new Casino Netball Association Clubhouse at Colley Park.

The $1.3 million rebuild replaces the old netball facility that was inundated during the 2022 floods and now stands as a modern, flood-resilient asset for the region's sporting community.

Mr Hogan said the investment reflects the former Federal Coalition Government's strong commitment to regional sport and community resilience.

"This is about more than just bricks and mortar – this new clubhouse represents hope, recovery and the strength of community," Mr Hogan said.

"It's wonderful to see the new facility providing a safe, modern and flood-resilient space for our netballers and volunteers. Projects like this help communities bounce back and thrive."

Mr Williamson said the new facility will be an enduring benefit for future generations of netball players.

"I'm thrilled to see this fantastic new clubhouse delivered for the Casino Netball Association," Mr Williamson said.

"Sport is the beating heart of many regional towns, and this new facility means our local players, coaches, officials and spectators have a modern, accessible, and future-proofed home to enjoy for years to come."

The new clubhouse has been built above known flash flooding levels on a pier and beam system and features a commercial kitchen, canteen serving area, and accessible entry ramps.

The project was delivered in partnership between Richmond Valley Council and the former Australian and NSW Coalition Governments, as part of a broader commitment to build back better after the 2022 natural disasters.
