Backed by funding from Multicultural NSW, Kiama Culture Fest is set to bring a vibrant celebration of culture, community and connection to the heart of town.
Hindmarsh Park will transform into a lively festival precinct filled with cultural performances, music, dance, art, workshops, interactive experiences and delicious food from around the world, showcasing the heritage of our local operators.
The festival will celebrate the cultural diversity of the Kiama region while encouraging visitors to explore, enjoy and support local businesses.
Kiama Mayor Cameron McDonald invites residents and visitors to gather your family and friends and experience a day of entertainment, discovery and connection.
"There will be something for everyone and we can't wait to welcome you to the inaugural Kiama Culture Fest," he said. "We are proud of the many cultures that make up our Kiama community so it will be tremendous to see that being showcased at this event."
NSW Minister for Multiculturalism Steve Kamper said: "It's never been more important for communities to get together in-person to celebrate our cultural diversity.
"We are proud to support Kiama Municipal Council to put on the inaugural Kiama Culture Fest, giving the whole community the chance to taste, experience, and learn about the many cultures of the region."
Festival Highlights include:
- Henna, face painting and African drumming
- Aboriginal, Irish, Peruvian, Bollywood, Brazilian & Lion Dance performances
- Cultural art & craft workshops including weaving & crochet
- Colour Run & Foam Tunnel
- Kids activities & play zones
- Outdoor Library, storytelling & poetry
- Uniting Sensory Tent
- Inflatable Day-Club with Global DJ
- Cultural demonstrations & experience
- A FREE shuttle between Kiama Leisure Centre & the event zone
- After hours programming at local venues

The amount awarded to Kiama Council for the event is $82,500 from Multicultural NSW.
