New Community Benefit Fund Round Now Open

Local community groups and not-for-profit organisations will have the opportunity to start the new year with momentum with applications now open for the Community Benefit Fund Major grant round.

The Territory Labor Government awarded $6.7 million in Major Grant funding to 59 community groups across the Territory in 2020-2021.

One success story includes the Alice Springs Netball Association, which received a $250,000 grant to upgrade the outdoor netball courts at the Pat Gallagher Netball Centre

Meanwhile, the Rotary Club of Nhulunbuy received a $30,000 grant to replace the Community Hall roof.

The current round of Community Benefit Fund includes:

- Major Community Grants: Funding of up to $250,000 to provide services, leisure activities and opportunities for Territorians

- Community Event Grants: Funding of up to $250,000 to conduct major community events

Applications close 28 February 2021.

Minor grants of up to $15,000 are available all year round to assist with community development.
