Peter Sycopoulis was today declared the successful Council election candidate to replace Peter Hulin, who resigned as a councillor in February.
The Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC) conducted a vote countback today to determine which of the candidates from the 2016 election would replace Mr Hulin.
Cr Sycopoulis previously served as a councillor from 2012 to 2016.
After the declaration of the outcome by the VEC, Cr Sycopoulis said he was looking forward to once again serving Warrnambool as a councillor.
A date will be set for a special meeting of Council at which Cr Sycopoulis will be officially sworn in and where he will sign the Councillor Code of Conduct.
