Late last year Council commenced work on replacing the decking on the pedestrian bridge over Farmers Creek behind the Showground.
The existing wooden timbers have been replaced with a brand-new fibreglass reinforced polymer decking. This new material will ensure the long-term performance of the bridge.
Thanks to our contractor Central Industries who delivered the project.
Farmers Creek is one of Lithgow's best assets and the Council is investing in the infrastructure around the creek to ensure that it can continue to be enjoyed by residents and visitors to our area.
The Council is currently accepting community feedback to inform the Farmers Creek Masterplan Update and the Riparian Corridor Management Plan.
