The Allan Labor Government has delivered a new state-of-the-art ambulance station in Maidstone, supporting our hardworking paramedics to do what they do best - save lives in their community.
Minister for Ambulance Services Mary-Anne Thomas joined Member for Footscray Katie Hall today to tour the new branch and celebrate its opening alongside local paramedics who serve their community every day.
The new purpose-built 24-hour branch is home to more than 30 paramedics and features modern, safe and fit-for-purpose facilities to support them as they respond to life-threatening emergencies.
Located on Hampstead Road, the new branch includes a four-bay ambulance garage, four rest and recline areas, training facilities, a fully equipped kitchen and improved security and car parking - giving paramedics the workspace they need to deliver timely care.
The branch is strategically located close to major roads, schools, shopping precincts and community facilities to improve response times for the rapidly growing region.
The new facility has also been designed with space to accommodate future growth as the needs of the Maribyrnong community evolve.
The Maidstone station is part of the Labor Government's ongoing investment in Ambulance Victoria infrastructure, funded through the Victorian Government's Ambulance Victoria Development Program - which has invested more than $280 million to upgrade and rebuild ambulance branches across the state.
Since 2015, the Labor Government has delivered 50 new or upgraded ambulance branches - including Bacchus Marsh, Melton West, Taylors Lakes, Oak Park and Manor Lakes - with seven opening in the past year.
The Labor Government continues to back our paramedics, with more than $58 million in the Victorian Budget 2025/26 to reduce offload times and improve patient flow, and a further $84.2 million over two years to strengthen rural and regional ambulance services.
As stated by Minister for Ambulance Services Mary-Anne Thomas
"The new Maidstone ambulance branch gives our paramedics the facilities they deserve and supports them to keep delivering world-class emergency care to people across Melbourne's inner west."

As stated by Member for Footscray Katie Hall
"Our hardworking paramedics deserve safe, comfortable spaces to rest and recharge - and this new branch right here in Maidstone delivers exactly that."
