New Playground Opens At Barry Warren Reserve

New playground opens at Barry Warren Reserve
City of Playford has refreshed Barry Warren Reserve in Elizabeth Downs with new play equipment as part of its ongoing park upgrades.

Now open for fun-filled outings, the reserve features adventure-ready equipment for locals and visitors-from new play equipment to the beloved pump track-promising hours of excitement and entertainment.

The new playground includes a large undercover slide and a smaller slide, with several viewing portholes throughout the colourful multi-play tower.

These new enhancements build upon the initial phase of upgrades completed last year at the reserve, undertaken in partnership with the state government. This earlier phase introduced a new pump track alongside new AFL and soccer goals, and improved accessibility features.

"The bike track has proven to be a favourite amongst locals," said Mayor Glenn Docherty explaining that, the reserve offers a place to play as well as sport and recreation on the adjoining community oval.

Recently the reserve, which is located across from the Eastern Park Football Club was named in honour of a formative co-founder and legend of the club, Barry Warren.

"We've enhanced this reserve with quality equipment, ensuring it remains a convenient location where locals can drop in for a game of footy, in honour of Barry, for many years to come."

Barry Warren Reserve is located at 185 Yorktown Road, Elizabeth Downs.
