The Rottnest Island Authority has released its new five-year plan which outlines the agency's approach to managing the island and its associated waters.
The Rottnest Island Management Plan 2023-2028 focuses on conservation, sustainability, infrastructure, visitor experience, cultural heritage and building meaningful partnerships with Aboriginal communities, industry and commercial operators.
The plan was developed in consultation with key stakeholders, advisory groups and island businesses and was also open for a period of public comment from March to May 2023.
It is the most significant planning document for the Rottnest Island Authority and must be reviewed every five years.
