New Round Of Funding Opens For Territory Events

In exciting news for event organisers and event-goers across the Northern Territory, a new round of the Northern Territory Government's Event Funding Program (EFP) will open on Monday, 14 July 2025.

Administered by the Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC), the program supports a diverse range of events, from major sporting spectacles and music festivals to cultural celebrations and grassroots community gatherings.

These events play a vital role in driving economic growth, attracting visitors to the NT, supporting local businesses, enhancing liveability, and building a vibrant, year-round events calendar.

Event organisers can apply under one of three tiers:

Flagship - Events that deliver strong economic outcomesSignature - Events focused on capability-building and developmentCommunity - Events that celebrate the uniqueness of the Territory

In the last round, 16 events received support, including the inaugural Dusty Streets A-Town, the return of Blacken Open Air, and the Australian Polocrosse Nationals, set to take place in Darwin next year.
