Council has delivered a new on-road cycleway linking Rocky Point Road in Sans Souci to Dolls Point beach in response to community requests for safer corridors to ride across Bayside.
Bayside's cycleways have been particularly valuable during COVID-19 as the need for safe spaces to exercise outdoors have become so important for physical and mental wellbeing.
The new 'buffered' cycleway along Russell Avenue is yet another facility that Bayside Council has provided to allow our community to actively move around safely and efficiently by walking and cycling.
The project was funded by the NSW Government through its Streets as Shared Spaces grant and will be reviewed after 6 months for permanent placement.
