New TassieDoc Sites Announced for July 2025

Tas Labor
A Dean Winter Labor Government will deliver TassieDoc - Tasmania's first 100% free regular doctors' clinics, ensuring more Tasmanians can get the care they need, when they need it.
Today, I am proud to announce Labor will set up TassieDoc clinics in the Huon Valley and Sorell.
We will consult with the local community and stakeholders, including the local councils, to determine the clinic locations.
In the Huon Valley, getting to see a GP has been a huge concern for residents so the region is a high priority in the TassieDoc plan.
For Sorell, receiving a TassieDoc clinic alongside an Urgent Care Clinic will have a massive impact on the community and allow locals to receive access to the healthcare they need - without worrying about the cost.
The clinics will offer regular doctor appointments free of charge as part of Labor's statewide network of new bulk-billed GP clinics - all Tasmanians will need is their Medicare card. The clinic will operate with extended hours, including evenings and weekends, and will offer both in-person and telehealth appointments. The
A Tasmanian family could save around $650 per year - meaning TassieDoc will deliver real cost of living relief as well as easier access to healthcare.
The Albanese Labor Government's Urgent Care Clinics have taken pressure off emergency departments, but a Dean Winter Labor Government will ensure Tasmanians can see a regular doctor for free.
A Dean Winter Labor Government will also invest in the workforce to make this plan work - including recruitment and retention incentives for 150 more doctors, support for rural and regional practices, and scholarships for midwives and frontline workers.
Working together with the Federal Government, Tasmanian Labor will set up an ongoing doctor recruitment taskforce and exempt GP contractors and registrars from payroll tax.
After 11 years of the Liberals, Tasmanians shouldn't have to wait any longer to see a doctor for free. It's time for a fresh start and Labor is ready to deliver it.
