Detectives from Newcastle Local Area Command are appealing for information into the whereabouts of a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.
Alan Deighton (aka Cooper), 44, is wanted by virtue of an outstanding arrest warrant relating to assault and detain for advantage, NSW Police say.
He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, approximately 172cm tall, of medium build, with red/blond hair.
He is known to frequent the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Sydney areas.
Anyone who sees Mr Deighton or knows his whereabouts, should not approach him, but contact police via Triple Zero (000).
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
