Prepare now for delays as major roadworks begin
Major works to repair and resurface Ison Road in Greenbank will begin this month.
A temporary one‑way traffic system will operate through the work zone, with vehicles to be directed eastbound from Backwater Road to Bombala Road.
The arrangement avoids the need for a full road closure and is designed to reduce traffic queuing on Thompson Road.
Westbound motorists will be required to detour via Thompson Road during initial works.
Residents travelling southbound on Goodna Road and turning right onto Thompson Road will be encouraged to complete a U‑turn at the Ison Road roundabout to further ease congestion.
Motorists should expect delays and plan their journeys with extra travel time. Works are expected to be complete in late April, weather permitting.
