Residents and road users are advised that night road works will take place along Hampton Street as part of essential maintenance being carried out by the Department of Transport.
The works will focus on restoring the road surface along Hampton Street between Beach Road and Ludstone Street, helping to improve safety and driving conditions in the area.
When the works will occur
Road maintenance will be undertaken overnight between from 7pm-5am between late March and mid-April, avoiding Friday and Saturday nights and public holidays.
Please note that the schedule may change if weather conditions are unsuitable.
What to expect during the works
While the works are underway, motorists and residents can expect:
- nightly road closures along sections of Hampton Street
- signed detours in place via South Road, Bluff Road, Bay Road and Beach Road
- local access maintained for residents, under the direction of traffic controllers
- reduced speed limits in work zones to ensure the safety of road users and workers.
Traffic management crews will be on site each night to help minimise disruption and keep traffic moving safely while the Department of Transport completes the works.
