Night Work Coming For Taree And Wingham

MidCoast Council

Heavy patching work will take place over multiple nights next week across Taree and Wingham.

In Taree, MidCoast Council crews will be working on the Bushland Drive/ Wingham Road roundabout, High Street (between Commerce Street and Pulteney Street) and Wynter Street (between Commerce Street and Pulteney Street).

Meanwhile in Wingham, crews will be working on the Moon and Farquhar Street roundabout and Price Street.

Work is expected to start from Monday 22 June, weather permitting.

Crews will carry out the work at night to minimise disruption for motorists.

There will be changes to traffic movements during this time, and motorists are urged to exercise caution and always observe signage.

Heavy patching work aims to repair the worst sections of damaged roads. It restores strength and improves safety in specific areas without needing a full rebuild. While not a long-term solution, it helps keep roads safe and drivable while working within budget to prolong the life of a road.

This work will be funded through Council's maintenance budget. For updates on road and bridge works, visit Council's Roads Hub: www.midcoast.nsw.gov.au/roads-hub
