Police have charged nine people following a one-day operation in Sydney's west yesterday.
On Wednesday 8 April 2026, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command Domestic Violence Arrest Team working in conjunction with officers attached to the North West Metropolitan Region High Risk Domestic Violence Team, conducted a 'day of action,' in Nepean Police Area Command and surrounding Police Area Commands targeting domestic violence offenders wanted including outstanding warrants offenders.
During the day of action, officers arrested and charged nine people and conducting 22 ADVO compliance checks.
Incidents of note include:
- About 10am, a 51-year-old man was arrested on Magnolia Street, North St Marys, following an ADVO compliance check. He was taken to St Marys Police Station where he was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO and breach of bail. He was refused bail to appear at Penrtih Local Court on Wednesday 8 April 2026, where he was refused bail to appear the same court on Tuesday 14 April 2026.
- About 10.50am, police arrested a 53-year-old man on Amundsen Street, Tregear, where police seized an amount of drug. He was wanted on an outstanding warrant related to a number of domestic violence offences in Raymond Terrace in 2024. He was taken to St Marys Police Station where he was charged with destroy or damage property (DV), break and enter house etc destroy etc property less than or equal to $60,000, contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO, larceny, break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000, possess prohibited drug and breach of bail. He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 8 April 2026).
- About 12pm, a 28-year-old woman was arrested on High Street, Penrith. Checks revealed the woman allegedly threatened and stalked a man known to him in Oakhurst earlier this month. She was taken to Penrith Police Station where she was charged with stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm and use carriage service to menace/harass/offend. She was refused bail to appear at Penrtih Local Court today (Thursday 9 April 2026).
- About 12pm, a 56-year-old man was arrested on Orana Avenue, Penrith, following an ADVO compliance check. He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic) and possess prohibited drug. He was subsequently charged with an outstanding warrant on stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm, and two counts of contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO. He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court on Wednesday 8 April 2026.
- About 1.30pm, a 53-year-old man was arrested on Coreen Avenue, Penrith, following an ADVO compliance check. He was taken to Penrith Police Station where he was charged with contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO and breach of bail. He was refused bail to appear at Penrtih Local Court today (Thursday 9 April 2026).
- About 1.40pm, a 48-year-old man was arrested at Penrith Police Station. He was wanted on an outstanding warranted in relation to a break and enter in Bar Beach in 2016. He was charged with an outstanding warrant with break and enter house etc steal value less than or equal to $60,000, and four counts of dishonestly obtain property by deception. He was refused bail to appear at Penrith Local Court today (Thursday 9 April 2026).
