Ninth teen charged after scooter shop assault at Parramatta

A ninth person has been charged following an investigation into an assault at a shop in Parramatta earlier this month.

Police will allege about 4.30pm on Saturday (19 October 2019), a 16-year-old boy was working in a retail store on Charles Street when a group of males entered the shop and assaulted him, before fleeing the scene on foot.

The teen was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment of a laceration to the head, facial bruising and swelling.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene. Following investigations, eight males were arrested and charged.

Just after 5pm today (Monday 28 October 2019), a ninth teen was arrested at Ross Street, Parramatta.

The 17-year-old was charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear before a children's court on Tuesday 10 December 2019
