Nomads OMCG member charged over alleged sexual assault of young girl, NSW

A member of the Nomads outlaw motorcycle gang (OMCG) has been charged over the alleged sexual assault of a girl he met at a train station in Sydney's south-west.

Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad commenced an investigation following reports a 12-year-old girl had been sexually assaulted by an unknown man in Sydney's south-west on Thursday 14 February 2019.

Following extensive inquiries, detectives attended a home at Chester Hill about 3.40am last Thursday (28 February 2019).

It will be alleged the 27-year-old male resident was arrested following a violent struggle with Strike Force Raptor, during which two operatives were injured.

The man was taken to Bankstown Police Station, where he was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to hospital for treatment.

Detectives have since charged the man with have sexual intercourse with child aged between 10 and 14, and resist or hinder police officer in execution of duty.

Police will allege in court that that pair spoke at a railway station and while on the train, before the man led her to a home at Chester Hill and sexually assaulted her.

A bedside hearing was conducted, and he was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on 13 March 2019.

The man, who is a member of the Nomads OMCG, remains in hospital under guard.

The Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad is comprised of detectives who are specially trained to investigate matters against children and adults, including sexual assault, serious physical abuse, and extreme cases of neglect.
