The volunteers, the carers, the doers and others who spend their time, energy, knowledge and passion helping others, the environment or local community? We want to hear about them!
The Bayside Community Awards acknowledge outstanding contributions by people and groups who make a difference in our community.
Nominations for the awards are now open.
Previous winners of the awards are scout masters, volunteers, carers for wildlife, school leaders, disability advocates and champions for the environment.
Residents who have contributed to Bayside this current year, or over a number of years, are eligible for the awards.
There are six award categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Senior Citizen of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Community Event of the Year
- Environmental Achievement - Individual or Organisation.
Nominations close on 31 January 2026. The top three finalists for each category will be notified and invited to the Awards Dinner, which is held on a weeknight in March 2026.
