Local legends, tireless volunteers and community heroes will be celebrated at the Kingston Community Awards – but we need your help to shine the spotlight on them!
Nominations are now open for individuals and community groups making a positive difference in the Kingston community.
The Citizen of the Year and Community Group of the Year awards will be presented as part of Kingston's expanded Volunteer Week celebrations in May.
Kingston Mayor Hadi Saab said there are so many people doing great things across Kingston, and the awards were a fantastic way to celebrate and thank them for their efforts.
"The tireless work of our volunteers and community groups helps make Kingston such a great place to live, work and play," Cr Saab said.
"We certainly wouldn't be as successful and connected without the spirit of volunteerism we have in our city.
"The Kingston Community Awards aims to showcase fantastic community members – we're looking for nominations for people young and old, for high-flyers and quiet achievers, for individuals and groups.
"I encourage everyone to nominate people and groups you admire and inspire you."
Nominations close at 11.59pm on Sunday 19 March, so nominate today. Winners will be announced during Volunteer Week at our community recognition event on Thursday 18 May 2023.
