Nominations closing for Greater Shepparton Women's Charter Women's Award

Nominations for the Greater Shepparton Women's Charter Advisory Committee (GSWCAC) annual Women's Award are closing soon.

The Women's Award recognises women who make a difference to the community in which they live, work, study or volunteer and acknowledges women whose actions positively impact upon others within the Greater Shepparton area.

Nominations are judged on:

  • How the nominee has represented the values of the Greater Shepparton Women's Charter of Gender Equity, Diversity and Active Citizenship in their involvement within the Greater Shepparton community
  • How the nominee has contributed to improving opportunities and empowering women within Greater Shepparton
  • Why the nominee's actions have made a difference for women and girls in Greater Shepparton

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Cr Kim O'Keeffe said the award recognises the incredible work and commitment of women within our community.

"There are so many incredible, inspiring women within our community that continue to contribute to our community. We want to recognise the hard work and dedication of these women through the annual Women's Award. Every nomination recognises someone that continue to make a positive difference within our community and they deserve to be nominated," she said.
