Nominations extended for community awards

There is still time to nominate an extraordinary woman for the Women in Community Life Awards.

Nominations for the annual awards have been extended to Thursday 20 February at 11.00pm.

Don't miss this opportunity to recognise the contribution of women living and working in the City of Greater Geelong.

We welcome nominations in the following categories:

  • First Nations Woman
  • Human Rights and Gender Equality
  • Living with a Disability
  • Leading Gender Equality in Sport
  • Leadership in Women's Health

The recipient of the major Women in Community Life Award will be selected from the category winners by a selection panel.

For more information about each award category, the eligibility of nominees and selection criteria, see the web page.

The awards are hosted by the City's Women in Community Life Advisory Committee and will be presented at our International Women's Day celebration on Friday 6 March, featuring Olympian and former senator Nova Peris OAM as the guest speaker.
