Nominations for sports awards closing soon

The Central Coast Sports Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of talented local athletes, organisations, officials and volunteers who work tirelessly for the countless community sport and active recreation clubs and associations across our region.

We are committed to the promotion of active and healthy lifestyles for our community with the delivery and maintenance of quality sports facilities and supporting sport & recreation providers, clubs and associations to deliver on this common goal.

The Sport Central Coast Board consists of representatives from the NSW Office of Sport, Central Coast Academy of Sport, Central Coast Council, as well as community sport representatives.

Nominations for 2020 Central Coast Sports Awards close on 21 February and Council encourages our local sporting and active recreation organisations to nominate their members for recognition in one or more of the following categories.

  • Sportsperson of the Year
  • Young Sportsperson of the Year
  • Sportsperson of the year with a disability
  • Team of the year
  • Volunteer of the year
  • Coach of the year
  • Young coach or official of the year
  • Active recreation event of the year
  • Sport or active recreation organisation of the year
  • Master athlete of the year

The winners will be announced at The 2020 Central Coast Sports Awards event which is to be held on Thursday, 25 March at Gosford RSL.
