Nominations now open for 2020 Australia Day Awards

Nominations are now open for the Borough of Queenscliffe's 2020 Australia Day Awards. These prestigious honours are an important part of the Borough's annual Australia Day celebrations.

If you know someone who deserves acknowledgement for exceptional service to the community, it's time to prepare a nomination for one of the following award categories:

  • Citizen of the Year
  • Young Citizen of the Year
  • Community Event of the Year
  • Community Organisation of the Year
  • Community Environment Project of the Year

This year, nominations can now be submitted digitally via our online nomination form, meaning you can fill out a nomination from anywhere in the world! If you still require a hard copy of the form, they can be downloaded at this link. Entries close at 4:00pm on Friday 22 November 2019.

All award nominations will be considered by Council's Australia Day Awards Reference Group, which consists of Councillors and community members. The Australia Day Awards are provided under the auspice of the National Australia Day Council, and will be presented during the Australia Day celebrations on 26 January 2020.
