Nominations are now open for the 2026 Northern Territory Export and Business Awards, celebrating outstanding Territory businesses and exporters.
The Awards bring together the long-standing Export Awards and the well-established Business Excellence and Outstanding Customer Service Awards across 19 categories.
Territory exporters contribute over $14 billion annually to the economy, playing a critical role in driving jobs, investment and growth.
The Finocchiaro CLP Government is backing Territory businesses and exporters by opening nominations for the 2026 Northern Territory Export and Business Awards - recognising the individuals and organisations driving economic growth across the Territory.
Supported by the Northern Territory Government and delivered by the NT Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Awards celebrate Territory businesses leading the way in exporting products and services around the world, as well as those making a significant impact in their local communities.
With 19 categories spanning export, business excellence and customer service, the Awards give businesses the opportunity to benchmark themselves against their peers, gain industry recognition and strengthen their profile - locally, nationally and internationally. Regional award programs will be held in Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, East Arnhem, Katherine and Greater Darwin, with regional winners progressing to the NT Gala Awards Ceremony in Darwin on 23 October.
Last year's Chief Minister's NT Exporter of the Year, Brindle Films, showcased what Territory businesses can achieve on the world stage - producing the film 'Kangaroo' with Bunya Productions, released nationally and internationally while putting Central Australia's unique landscapes in front of global audiences.
Minister for Trade, Business and Asian Relations, Robyn Cahill, encouraged businesses across the Territory to put their hand up.
"Territory businesses and exporters are among the most dynamic and innovative in Australia, and we are committed to creating the right conditions for them to continue to thrive."
"The Export and Business Awards celebrate the best across our regions - businesses that are leading, innovating and setting the standard. If you know of a business making an impact, now is the time to nominate them."
Glen Hingley, Chief Executive Officer of the NT Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the Awards deliver real value beyond the recognition itself.
"A strong and diverse export and business sector is critical to the Territory's economic future. Official recognition through the NT Export and Business Awards delivers a level of credibility and brand reputation that cannot be bought - and helps businesses build confidence, visibility and valuable connections."
