Noonamah Rodeo back in saddle this Saturday

NT Government

A Territory icon returns to centre stage this Saturday with the Noonamah Rodeo kicking back into action.

The Noonamah Rodeo is a famous Top End tradition featuring bull-riding, saddle broncs, freestyle motocross, the mechanical bull, live music and more.

Usually a regular on the Territory events calendar, and popular with both locals and visitors, the rodeo could not go ahead last year due to COVID-19.

This Saturday's event is supported by the Northern Territory Government through the Northern Territory Major Events Company.

Gates open at 5.30pm.

Quotes from Acting Minister for Major Events Chansey Paech

"The Territory Labor Government is proud to support this event showcasing a side of the Northern Territory not everyone gets to see.

"With so many tourists in the Territory following BASSINTHEGRASS the Noonamah Rodeo is a golden opportunity to keep the weekend vibe going strong."

Quotes from Tony Innes, Noonamah Tavern Owner/Manager:

"We're stoked to be bringing the action back in 2021. As well as the bulls, broncos and bikes, we've got live music from Territory band Coffin Fitz, so you're in for a good night.

"Platinum and Silver VIP tickets are already sold out, but grab yourself a family ticket and bring the clan for a night of traditional Aussie entertainment, or snap up a general admission ticket."
