Norlane collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a serious collision which has left a 68-year-old man with life-threatening injuries.

Officers believe that an orange Holden sedan and a silver Holden wagon were travelling east along Princes Highway in Norlane about 5.20pm at high speed.

Investigators have been told the orange Holden collided with a silver Ford sedan as the driver of the Ford turned out of Surrey Street.

The driver of the Ford, a 68-year-old Norlane man, was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

The driver of the orange Holden, a 33-year-old man from Lovely Banks, is currently assisting police with their enquires.

The late-model silver Holden wagon failed to stop at the scene of the crash and investigators are appealing for this driver and any other occupants to come forward.
