Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a bushfire burning in the vicinity of Foulkes Street, between Norman Road and Yeppoon Road. The fire is burning within containment lines and poses no threat to property at this time. Motorists travelling along Yeppoon Road between Norman Road and Access 2 of Yeppoon Road may be impacted by smoke and should drive with caution and to conditions. Residents of Norman Gardens and Parkhurst may also be affected by smoke. Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
