Rockhampton Regional Council will be conducting a clean-up of the North Rockhampton Cemetery on Saturday, 25 October.

The clean-up will cover the entire cemetery site located on Yaamba Road.

As part of the process, broken and deteriorated items, litter, rubbish, and seed pods will be removed from graves where possible while all other items will remain undisturbed.

The aim of the clean-up is to improve the appearance of the cemetery by removing general litter and any items that pose a safety risk or are clearly deteriorated.

Decorations and tributes that are in good condition will not be removed.

Items taken during the clean-up will be disposed of and will not be available for collection.

Families and loved ones who wish to keep broken heirlooms or personal mementos are encouraged to collect them before the clean-up begins.

Signs have been placed at the cemetery to inform visitors of the upcoming works.
