Norton Street, Ballina Temporary Closure

Ballina Shire Council wish to advise that a section of Norton Street in Ballina will be closed for filming purposes from 5am Friday 12 March 2021 until 3am Saturday 20 March 2021.

This temporary closure for filming is approved by the Local Traffic Committee under the conditions of a Traffic Control Plan and as required by the NSW Filming Protocol 2009.

Filming will take place at a private residence on Norton Street. As such part of Norton Street, between Fox and Bentinck Streets, and the entry into Norton Street from Hackett Lane, will be closed throughout the filming. Part of Fripp Lane will be closed at the rear of the private residence.

The road will be open for residents in both Norton Street and Fripp Lane at all times, as well as emergency services if required.

Some parking along Norton Street near Meldrum Park and also Owen Street, near Kingsford Smith Park, will be barricaded from Thursday 11 March to provide access for the film crew's vehicles from Thursday afternoon.

Council encourages members of the community to avoid the film location to enable access for residents and the film crew.

Council wishes to thank the community in advance and apologises for any inconvenience.
