Not a bad result in Brimbank, hay?

An operation targeting drink driving yielded pleasing results for police in Melbourne’s North West region yesterday, Victoria Police say.

Operation Straw was conducted in Sunshine and surrounding suburbs by local police members, in conjunction with Brimbank Highway Patrol.

It focused on detecting impaired drivers and associated traffic offences.

Of the 905 drivers tested, one was detected driving over the legal blood alcohol limit.

The 61-year-old St Albans woman is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving.

Three people were also detected for seatbelt offences during the operation.
