A man is due to appear in Blacktown Local Court tomorrow charged with multiple offences including impersonate a police officer, NSW Police say.

Detectives from The Hills Local Area Command formed Strike Force Mainsbridge in March 2016 to investigate property-related crimes targeting residential premises within Baulkham Hills and neighbouring suburbs.

Following extensive inquiries, detectives arrested a 20-year-old man today, at Nowra.

He has been charged with 10 counts of aggravated break, enter and steal in company, robbery in company, knowingly drive vehicle in manner menaces, and impersonate police officer.

Police allege the break-ins occurred between 7 and 30 March 2016, while the impersonate charge relates to an incident at Baulkham Hills on 30 March, when a man allegedly claimed to be an undercover officer.

The man was bail refused to Blacktown Local Court tomorrow.
