A resident of Ramsgate has confessed he's still in a daze, frequently shaking his head and day-dreaming about the future, after clinching a whopping $1.7 million in the recent Saturday Lotto draw.
The fortunate New South Wales dweller secured one of the three division one winning spots in Saturday Lotto draw 4401, held on Saturday 23 September 2023, taking home an impressive sum of $1,720,285.71.
“You’d think I’d be more excited, but I think my body is still in shock!” he remarked when an official from the lottery officials gave him the winning news.
“I’ve just been shaking my head since I checked my ticket yesterday morning. It’s unbelievable. I’ve always known the odds of winning, but I guess it’s my turn now. Regardless, I’m so grateful and this will undoubtedly change my life."
The lucky winner already has plans for his newfound wealth.
"For one, I want to buy a house which means it’s time to hunt for that first home! It seems surreal to even say that! I can’t wait to tell my family. I’ll help my brothers and sisters and still be able to live the life I’ve always dreamed of. Thanks so much.”
The winning ticket was sourced from Ramsgate Beach Newsagency, situated at Shop 2, 185 Ramsgate Rd, Ramsgate.
