To protect the people of NSW from the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, anyone in NSW who has been in the Australian Capital territory (ACT) since Thursday 5 August must stay at home and only leave their residence with a reasonable excuse.
Reasonable excuses include shopping, medical care, caregiving, outdoor exercise with a member of your household or one other person, and work or education, if you cannot do it from home.
NSW Health continues to urge people who have been in the ACT since 5 August to regularly check the ACT Health website for information on ACT venues of concern linked to the latest cases.

People subject to the stay-at-home measures in the ACT should not be travelling to NSW unless they are permitted to do so.
Everyone in NSW, including those in NSW areas along the ACT border, must continue to comply with all relevant public health orders that are in place in NSW.
People entering NSW who have been in the ACT in the last 14 days must also complete a declaration form. This is available on the Service NSW website, and can be completed in the 24-hour period before entering NSW or on arrival.
For people who travel frequently between the ACT and NSW, a declaration form is only required to completed every 72 hours.
The information gathered via the travel declarations is vital in allowing NSW Health to contact travellers if necessary.
Additional restrictions also now apply to residents of Sydney's Bayside, Burwood and Strathfield Local Government Areas (LGAs).
The decision to make these three LGAs declared areas follows updated advice from NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant about the growing risk to the community.
Suburbs in the Bayside LGA include Banksia, Bexley, Botany, Brighton le-Sands, Kogarah, Mascot, Rockdale and Sans Souci. Suburbs in the Burwood LGA include Belfield, Flemington, Greenacre, Homebush, Homebush West, Strathfield and Strathfield South, while the Burwood LGA includes the suburbs of Burwood, Burwood Heights, Enfield and Enfield South.
Effective from 5pm today, the rules for these areas are the same as those in place across the LGAs of Blacktown, Campbelltown, Canterbury-Bankstown, Cumberland, Fairfield, Georges River, Liverpool, Parramatta and 12 suburbs in the Penrith LGA.
People in a declared area must only obtain food or other goods and services, and exercise, within 5km of their home. They cannot travel outside their declared area for work unless they are an authorised worker.
The list of workers authorised to travel outside the declared area they live in, if they are required to leave home for work, is available on the authorised workers webpage.
The current restrictions for the Newcastle and Hunter region are also being extended until the beginning of 20 August.
