NSW police appeal after indecent assault - Police Transport & Public Safety Command

Police are appealing for a woman who was allegedly indecently assaulted on a train near Lidcombe yesterday, and other witnesses to come forward, NSW Police say.

About 5.50pm yesterday (Sunday 25 February 2018), a woman described as being in her 20s was on a westbound when a man described as being blind or partially blind and carrying a cane, boarded the train at Lidcombe Railway Station and sat next to her.

Police have been told that the man indecently assaulted the woman before he exited the train at Parramatta.

The incident was reported to police from the Police Transport and Public Safety Command and an investigation commenced.

Police are appealing for the woman, or any witnesses to this incident or any similar incidents to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
