NSW police appeal after man threatened with firearm

Police are appealing for public assistance after a man was threatened with a firearm in Sydney’s west yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 6.45pm (24 August 2016), a 39-year-old man was driving on Feodore Drive, Cecil Hills, when he noticed a white Audi 4WD pull out in front of him on a round-a-bout and then follow him.

The 39-year-old man continued to drive while the Audi was following him until he stopped at traffic lights on Frederick Road, at the intersection of Gabriella Avenue.

Police have been told the driver of the Audi exited the vehicle and approached the 39-year-old man in the car, threatening him with a firearm, before fleeing.

He was not injured.

Officers from Green Valley Local Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

As part of their inquiries, they would like to speak to a man described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, aged in his late 30s or early 40s, about 183cm tall, with short black hair, and short black facial hair. He was seen wearing a black jumper and jeans.

The vehicle is described as a white Audi 4WD with black and white registration plates.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
