NSW police appeal after South Hurstville stabbing

Police are investigating after a man was found with a stab wound this morning, NSW Police say.

About 6.30am (Monday 5 November 2018), officers from St George Police Area Command were called to a fast food outlet at South Hurstville, after reports a man was stabbed.

It is believed two men, who were known to each other, became involved in an altercation in a carpark on King Georges Road, South Hurstville, before a 25-year-old man was stabbed in his chest area.

One man is believed to have fled the scene in a white Renault van.

A short time later, police received reports a Toyota Corolla crashed into stationary vehicles on Evans Street, Sans Souci.

Officers located a 25-year-old man suffering a stab wound to his chest at a nearby residence.

He was taken to St George Hospital where he remains in a serious but stable condition. Police will speak to him when his condition permits.

Police are looking for a man they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.
