NSW police appeal following Bexley bottle shop armed robbery

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery at a south Sydney bottle shop.

About 9.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 23 January 2019), a man entered a bottle shop on Forest Road, Bexley, before threatening the two attendants with a knife and demanding cash.

He took cash before fleeing the store on foot.

No one was injured as a result of the incident.

Officers from St George Police Area Command attended and established a crime scene.

Police are appealing to locate a man described as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, 180cm tall, with a thin build.

He was last seen on foot travelling toward Princes Street, Bexley, wearing all black clothing with a hooded jumper.

Anyone who may have witnessed or have information about the incident is urged to come forward.
